- Struck in 22 carat gold and finished to a proof standard.
- Created to celebrate 500 years of British coinage.
- The reverse of the coins feature the Royal Shield of Arms of the United Kingdom on top of the Tudor Rose, a design reimagined by Raphael Maklouf.
- Created by King Henry VII after the Wars of the Roses, the Tudor Rose featured on the reverse of the coins symbolised the start of the Tudor dynasty, with the union of the House of York and the House of Lancaster.
- The Royal Shield of Arms of the United Kingdom on the reverse of the coins feature the Passant Guardant Lions of England, a floral bordered Lion Rampant of Scotland and the Harp of Ireland.
- The Royal Shield of Arms of the United Kingdom on the reverse of the Full Sovereign coin is crowned with the heraldic design of St. Edward's Crown.
- St. Edward's Crown was originally a medieval crown dating back to the 11th century.
- Associated with St. Edward the Confessor, the replacement crown has been used to crown British monarchs at their coronations since the 16th century and resembles the original medieval crown that was melted down in 1649.
- The Latin inscription around the reverse of the Half Sovereign and Full Sovereign coins, 'IHESUS AUTEM TRANSIENS PER MEDIUM ILLORUM IBAT', translates as, 'But Jesus passing through their midst went his way'. It describes how Jesus miraculously escaped a crowd attempting to kill him in Nazareth, an inscription used on English coinage which included Tudor Half Sovereign coins.
- The obverse of the coins illustrate the uncrowned portrait of King Charles III, created by Raphael Maklouf.
- The Latin inscription around the obverse of the coins, 'CHARLES III · DEI · GRA · REX · F · D · GIBRALTAR', an abbreviation from 'CHARLES III DEI GRATIA REX FIDEI DEFENSOR GIBRALTAR', translates as 'Charles III, by the Grace of God, King, Defender of the Faith, Gibraltar', alongside the year '2026', in English.
- The signature initials 'RDM', of the artist Raphael Maklouf, are positioned on the reverse of the coins at the base of the neck, on the portrait of King Charles III.
- The collection includes the Eighth Sovereign, Quarter Sovereign, Half Sovereign and Full Sovereign coins.
- Maximum mintage of 148.
